The three founders of the Archaea Active™ formula are the late Conard Eugene “Gene” Kaiser and twin brothers Dr. Jay Collins and Dr. Jock Collins. They worked together for more than 25 years on various ideas, patents and discoveries. Since the mid 1980s, the three gentlemen had been researching and testing different ingredients and manufacturing processes utilizing a bio-catalyst technology that had been developed for use in application procedures for bioremediation. (Bioremediation can be described as the use of living microorganisms to help clean up contamination and return an environment to its natural condition. Bioremediation was one of the methods, for example, used to aid the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.) The founders believed that their Archaea Active™ formula and proprietary manufacturing process initiated the production of cell-signaling molecules, those which stimulate other cells to communicate and respond.

The founders’ proprietary bio-catalyst formula, created from natural enzymes, proteins and extracts, was seen to significantly increase bio-available oxygen. Microbes multiplied faster, thereby resulting in more rapid and complete bioremediation. However, it would be close to a decade later and only after a myriad of tests, trials and manipulations before they would successfully modify their water-based formula to create a consumable product with potential health benefits.

The genesis of the formula from bioremediation to a product for human consumption took place more than a half century earlier. One of the three co-founders, Gene Kaiser, served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Orca, a seaplane tender supporting atomic bomb tests at the Bikini Atoll during World War II. The Orca was deemed unsafe for human habitation due to radiation exposure, and almost every serviceman aboard developed some form of cancer during his lifetime.

Gene desired to learn the effects of their bio-catalyst formula for his own personal use. Possibilities were considered, rejected, improved, and modified, even after Gene began drinking the water in early 2000. Gene, Jock and Jay began to study the effects from the additional oxygen utilization that the formula provided, and they were intrigued with their findings.

For several years, the founders refined the formulation while achieving success in the water treatment, remediation and industrial restoration segments. Simultaneously, they continued to manipulate the formulation with higher quality food-grade ingredients, to prepare it for human consumption. They began offering the water to friends, family members and co-workers, who noticed that they generally felt better and were able to recover quicker from strenuous exercise.

Word spread, and by 2004, people were coming from great distances to try the Archaea Active™ formula and report back the results that they were experiencing.

For the next five years, testimonials were collected from hundreds of consumers, and in 2008, Health2o Products, LLC was formed to fund scientific research and formalized testing, and to take the Archaea Active™ discovery and products to market. Initial in-vitro testing was conducted by The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and an Illinois-based outside independent research laboratory that year, both contracted, on a fee basis, to perform specific tests
