For those of you who were with us last week we started following one of the best network marketing books out there. Dr. Tom Barrett a sought after consultant wrote the book Dare to Dream Work to Win. We looked at the three foundational principles of network marketing and they are:

• Consistent Effort
• Duplication
• Give it enough Time.

We talked about when someone says they don’t have enough time for something it really means they haven’t stated a fact. They have simply stated a priority. We all have made it just that and need to find the “nooks and crannys” in our busy day for one more call, one more drop off and one more letter/email. The consistent effort over time creates wealth.

So, here is what we know by studying the top business people in the world. Success is no accident.

We leave the house every day and think do I have my wallet, my keys, my schedule but most days forget to but our day in perspective and and think about the one big thing: our dreams, our big why.

The bottom line is that dreams (having big dreams) allows you to envision future realities. Without big dreams you can’t be as successful as the best in the business. We are gong to share with you 4 components of success. We encourage you to memorize them, know them cold and be able to live and teach them. Four ingredients of success:

1. Determine what you want
2. Decide what you want and what you are willing to reschedule or give up in order to get what you want.
3. Associate with people who will help you get what you want
4. Have a plan that works, WORK your plan

Don’t be fooled by the fact that these ingredients don’t look very exciting. They are what will keep you excited about growing your business. Tonight we are going to cover the first two and next week finish with three and four.

1.  Determine what you want – Be absolutely clear about what you want out of your business before you decide what you will put in to it. . Why is this so important? Because goals create focus, energy and passion. When dreams and goals are vivid, it is much easier to know how to schedule our lives in the present. In any significant life endeavor, there will be moments when we experience fatigue, frustration, and doubt. In those moments we are acutely aware of what we are doing, how exacting it is, and how much easier it would be to quit. So much discomfort could be eliminated by just quitting. We could take the easy way out, we ask “why am I doing this” But when we ask this question we’d better have a reply that is quick, cogent and unequivovating. For this reason, knowing WHY we do this business is more important than HOW. Paul Orberson (who makes more than 1million per month in the industry) reminds us, “Don’t let the bugs on the windshield rob you of seeing the horizon.

The bottom line of network marketing business is it is nothing more than a vehicle to get us from one place in life to another. So make your goals specific, vivid and real as you can. Write them down and make copies. Carry a copy with you at all times and then when you ask why am I doing this you’ll look at it and know. Give the second copy to the person who brought you in to the business. We would be honored to know your dreams. Usually a person in not in network marketing for self-serving reasons. They are doing it for people they love and care about, spouse, children, etc. When the relational pain of growing a business is felt, it can be helpful to remind each other of shared dreams and the desire to change the future by the hard work being done today.

2.  Decide what you are willing to reschedule or give up in order to get want you want.

The analogy in the book is like a country dog that chases every car that comes along. The country dog waits in the front yard, spots a car coming down the road and jumps up to meet it. Then it runs alongside the car as fast as it can while barking so fiercely that the driver is inclined to drive a little faster and pray the car doesn’t break down. Have you ever wondered what the dog would do if it caught the car? Sink its teeth in to the bumper? While it may have spent its life chasing cards, my guess is it would have no idea what to do if it caught one.

Watching people in this business is like watching the country dog. They have spent their lives waiting for something that could literally change their entire financial futures. They wish they could be the boss, set their own schedule, get paid what they are worth, not be told what to do and for once to able to set the limits to see how good they could really be. Guess what, in network marketing the dog has caught the car!

And, now that the car has been caught, people have to decide what to do with it. It is time to stop chasing and start doing. Stop wishing and start working. Stop making excuses and start making it happen. It is a huge mental transition to move from living at the beck and call of a job to learning to live in manner that is based on your own values, dreams, and internal desires. Many people are overwhelmed at this freedom. Some realize they lack the internal fortitude and drive necessary to manage this freedom. They can respond to someone else telling them what to do but they don’t know how to motivate themselves enough to take charge of their finances and lives.

So, this second ingredient (decide what you are willing to reschedule or give up to get what you want) reveals if someone has what it takes to make it big. Sometimes, you just have to shift your thinking and reprogram your mindset to be able to do it! We are here to help you with that. If someone is not willing to pay a price for success and will not submit to self discipline in order to turn dreams in to reality then that person cannot make future dreams a present reality.

We are sharing this piece with you for a very specific reason. When working to motivate your team you have to realize that you cannot want this business for people more than they want it for themselves. Others cannot draft off our vision. They will only get going and keep moving if they have their own dreams and sufficient internal desire to do what it takes to make their dreams come true. You have honored them with the invitation to associate with you in growing a business that could generate more revenue in a month than most earn in a year. But until they envision it themselves, appreciate it, and desire it, you are wasting your time. They will feel like dead weight as you try to “drag them along” in the business. Leave them alone an move on.

Countless people will express interest in something that can be as life-changing as network marketing. They will be intrigued, curious, and tempted to say “yes’ to your offer of helping them get what they purport to want out of life. But in the final moment, they will decline active involvement. What is it that will keep them out of the huge opportunity? It will not be the price of admission, it is the price of real success. They love the idea of growing a business, being independently wealthy, having money to give away, etc. BUT while they love to think of these things, they gag on the effort required to make them happen. The thought of missing their favorite tv show, a tee time, of some social gathering is unthinkable to them. So they cling to the routine of minor events of their lives and casually let go of their dreams. It occurs so subtly that they never realize what they have done. For example, so many people plan their week around American Idol, Greys, whatever show. This scheduling creates an illusion of structure, focus, and purpose in their lives. The same people will have some regret when they see network marketing changing your life and not theirs. But, they will quickly dismiss their remorse and conclude you got really lucky. It won’t occur that your business worked for you because you worked hard at your business. You decided what you wanted and what you were willing to give up or reschedule to get it.

These first two ingrediants for success are so important. Dreams create hope. Goals create focus. And focus creates fuel that propels us to action.

Ask yourself these questions
Why did you get in to network marketing?
Where do you want it to take you?
What do you want out of it?
How would you like your life to be different because of it?
What are you willing to do to make what you want become a reality?

Sometimes, God gives us the answer to our own prayers when we don’t even realize it!

Below is an article that appeared in the Miami Herald and written by Barry Jackson.  Note the section in yellow, Ricky Williams “swears by it” in regards to Evolv and attributes the health drink to his success.

As Ricky Williams was scoring three touchdowns Thursday, his “pranic healer” was listening to the game on the radio in California — in between conducting a meditation session — just in case Williams needed his help.

So can a man thousands of miles away help treat Williams’ nicks and pain through deep thinking?

It doesn’t matter if you or I are skeptical. For Williams, it only matters what he thinks. And he’s a believer.

Williams, averaging a career-high 5.3 yards a carry, said the way he cares for his body has a lot to do with his terrific season. There’s the vegetarian diet. The daily breathing and meditation, sometimes for two hours.

The acupuncture and massages. The twice-weekly yoga. The new water-based energy drink Evolv that’s sold online — he “swears by it” after he drank three bottles before the Saints game and then scored three touchdowns.

“He also does things you wouldn’t expect,” Ronnie Brown said.

One is pranic healing, an alternative medical treatment that originated in the Orient 4,000 years ago. Williams, 32, performs pranic healing on himself and uses a pranic healer, Daniel O’Hara.

Here’s how it works: “Ricky will send me a text message saying, for example, to work on his ankle,” O’Hara said. O’Hara, in Orange County, Calif., will then “visualize Ricky’s ankle as if he’s standing in front of me. I visualize him glowing. I make a sweeping motion over my ankle to remove the dirty energy from his ankle that’s creating an abnormality and give his body fresh, revitalizing energy.”

“Ricky could be doing anything when I’m doing this — watching TV, sleeping,” O’Hara said. “It’s like a voodoo doll. I know it sounds strange.”

O’Hara said Williams then text messages him indicating how the body part feels. “He says it’s a four, and I’ll try to get it to a 10. It takes me four minutes with Ricky because he meditates and has positive energy. It could take 25 minutes with somebody else. He’s special.”

Williams, in his Charlotte, N.C., hotel, called O’Hara on Wednesday night and O’Hara said they visualized “Ricky having three touchdowns and 184 rushing yards” against Carolina. (He had three touchdowns and ran for 119 yards.) He also worked on Williams’ slight arm numbness.

Williams, who appears on O’Hara’s website, has done pranic healing since 2007 and said last week, “Usually, I prefer to work on it myself, but for some of the little nicks I’ve had this season, Daniel has really helped me. I know for a fact it works. It’s fascinating.”

O’Hara said when Williams sprained an ankle in the first Jets game, “The second I saw that on TV, I started working on him, and when he got back to the sideline, he was fine. He figured I was doing something. I can feel what is going on in his body.”

Williams, held out of the last series against Carolina, had pain in a chest muscle, but coach Tony Sparano said he will be fine.

Encouraged by pranic healing and the other ways to heal his body, Williams said he hasn’t ruled out playing beyond 2010. “I’m looking forward to my plans after football,” he said Tuesday at his new South Beach restaurant, PROOF. “But if it’s the right situation, it would be difficult to turn down.”

Below is something Trey White posted on the corporate website in regards to the ongoing dispute and lawsuits regarding The MD Anderson Cancer Center.

I have some information that I would like to share with you regarding our involvement with The MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) and recent developments.

As you are aware, we used MDACC for specific testing on the Archaea Active Formula to further validate the years of anecdotal testimonials that Gene Kaiser was receiving from people drinking the Archaea Active-enhanced water. After reviewing the stack of testimonies, I was intrigued enough to invest into the first round of studies at MDACC and Futureceuticals Inc..

Our manufacturing partner, Health2o Products LLC, engaged MD Anderson to test the “anti-inflammatory” properties and also retained Futureceuticals to test for increased oxygen utilization. Both studies came back with positive results which engaged our interest in conducting further studies and developing our plan to bring the product to market.

We launched the Evolv product using the Archaea Active formula knowing that we have a product with GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe)-only ingredients delivered in natural spring water and in vitro studies from two world class independent research facilities. The testing from both facilities yielded data that supported the anecdotal testimonials from Kaiser’s lab which has created the foundation for Archaea Active products.

We launched our product making it clear that neither testing facility endorses our product. Our original plan was to launch the product as a traditional retail product. However we changed our business plan to launch the product through a network marketing model.

Unfortunately the networking marketing industry still has some level of misunderstanding associated with it; some people still do not understand the thriving and legitimate business that is direct sales. Great business leaders understand. Warren Buffet, for example, owns the very successful direct sales company, Pampered Chef. Direct sales companies such as Avon, Mary Kay, Amway and Shaklee have been in business for decades, doing billions of dollars in annual revenues and changing millions of people’s lives.

However some feel a negative association to be tied to this industry. MDACC recently shared their concern with us and asked us to remove their trademark and name from our packaging, even though we had their approval originally to do so. Because we paid for the testing and have shared the abstracts on www.archaeaactive.com, we believe that we are in our legal right to state who did our testing. To reiterate, we make it very clear that MDACC does not endorse our product in any way.

In regards to this dispute, Health2o decided to ask the courts to make a determination. The University of Texas Board of Regents (MDACC’s sponsoring organization), replied to our lawsuit with their own suit against Health2o Products and EvolvHealth in an attempt to change the court venue from Dallas to Houston. We believe based on the facts that we are within our legal rights to state on our packaging that MDACC conducted the testing for us. We have no signed documentation stating otherwise.

Most importantly, the results of the in vitro tests are not in question, it is whether or not we can print their name on our bottle and box. It is really that simple. So, for many people, they enter the network marketing arena and it looks so bright and attractive from a distance but becomes surrounded by a fog after we enter it. It is easy to loose vision, not hear what is being said by others and see our progress slow to a crawl. You hear other’s success stories in this business and they motivate yet frustrate you at the same time. So, today and in following calls we are going to discuss how to lift the fog. There are 3 foundational principles to succeeding in this business. They are simple! Please write these down:

1. Consistent Effort
2. Duplication
3. Give it enough time

Let’s take them one at a time.

1. Consistent Effort – Loosing 20lbs, lets look at 2 strategies – would you moderately eat and exercise each day or eat as you pleased everyday and not exercise but on the 7th day you can’t eat, fun five miles and lift weights for 2 hours. The answer is obvious. So the idea on consistent effort is easy. The difficulty lies in the implementation. If we are serious about our growth we have to give CONSISTENT time to growing the business.

Success, greatness and character do not come from one grand moment. They are honed and sharpened in the quiet and obscure moments of each day. They come from doing the boring, little seemingly irrelevant things one at a time. The cumulative effect of these things is success. In network marketing this translates in to one more two minute phone calls to inquire about someone’s interest, one more cup of coffee with someone to show them our model, one more fax, one follow-up call, one training call, etc. As stand a lone incidents, they are barely noteworthy, But collectively they create focus, cultivate character, increase skill sets and grow a team of like-minded winners (this is our goal for our team)

So, you can work your business full time or part-time but not spare time
Let’s look at this! The reality is none of us have any “spare” time. We were using 24 hours per day long before we ever thought of Evolv. Right? And we will continue to. The only way people will have time for their business is to make time. Network marketing is a business of inconvenience. People are not sitting around with gaps in their schedules waiting for them to be filled.

So what do we do? The concept of “Nooks and Crannies”
Does anyone remember the old Thomas’ English Muffin Commercial? They use to refer to the nooks and crannies of the muffin. This is how we recommend you grow your business in the nooks and crannies of daily life. This is how the top network marketers who have successful other businesses do it. . Let’s say you have a business where you have apts. So, when you are waiting for the next one or driving to it, there is that 10 min between. You can check your email/facebook, call a friend, listen to music etc. This is a nook and cranny. Many apts or touches are made during this free time. By the way, when you call people and they know you have limited time they aren’t going to expect to give you all the details on the phone. Set up a time to talk later (face to face if you can) or an apt. with Team Moran. So what are the nooks and crannies of your life?? What parts of your day do you fill with small (non dollar productive tasks) when you could be growing a business? What do you do that is momentarily pleasant but ultimately unproductive? Could this time be spent growing your business, reaching your goal and changing your life? We all have nooks and crannies. We all do. What separates the winners from the wishers in all business is how these times are used. When someone says they do not have time for something, they have not stated a fact. They have simply stated a priority. Period!

In network marketing, a pack horse is better than a race horse (this is hard for me)
We make 2 common mistakes in network marketing. We think we have to be a race horse that is lightening fast and “tear things up” or they thing they need to find a race horse to be the next superstar in their company. WE don’t want to be or want to find either of these. They don’t have the stamina for anything but a sprint. Be a pack horse! They will not impress you with their speed or appearance. But it will amaze you with its quiet strength, patience and stamina. Like energizer bunny they keep going and going!. Our business requires consistent effort, sustained focus. This individuals who dared to dream and then set out to pursue their dreams one moment, one phone call, one apt, one meeting at a time. Activities WILL breed results. Nook and cranny after nook and cranny. They successful set goals and set out to reach them. This is why we encourage you do fill out your road map online at evolvhealth and share it with us.

2. Duplication – this eludes most people at first. To quote America’s first billionaire J. Paul Getty “I would rather have one percent of the efforts of one hundred men working for me rather than one hundred percent of my own efforts. We have to create ongoing duplication for our team and this is part of what Team Moran brings you. You are our children and will have children and then they have children making us grandparents. And, we want you to use our systems and share them with YOUR people. Duplication. All the successful network marketers use simple, systematic method to grow their teams. You have to figure out how to create and then sustain duplication. Pretend it is your first month (oh wait it is our first month) and you add one person. The next month, both of you sign up one person. If you consistently repeat this simple process for twelve months, with no one sponsoring more than one a month, what will happen? = 4,096 people! In 12 months. It is compounding interest. So if you had 4,000 people working 5 hours a week that is 20,000 man power hours a week vs. your 5, 10 or even 40. Those who understand this principle can leverage life’s 2 most important commodities: Time and money. This concept is life changing. Can we do it????? All we have to do is follow the system and keep it simple. Keep your business uncomplicated. Basic, Fun. This is hard for some of the high level professionals. It looks too simple so we want to make it more sophisticated. It lacks class it isn’t professional, etc. We need to stop trying to dress it up, clean it up and make it more impressive. Wealth is only possible if we keep things so simple that they are totally duplicable. What is a system? Teaching people a simple, methodical way of growing a business (Dave will share the process in a minute). A system is a track to run on with what to do next and HOW to do it. Teach your reps how to do it and duplicate it over and over again.

Our system: Get on the calls! Use the training online and listen to the videos, master the objections and get in front of people and then follow-up. Then do it again and again and again. KISS

So when do you get excited in this business? When you have a rep that has grandchildren of their own. This is the sign that that you have depth and energy in your organization. This creates wealth. When you focus on wealth alone, it will not be achieved in network marketing. If you focus on duplication and HELPING OTHER SUCCEED and putting the systems in place (which is what helps other’s succeed) we will then reach our own goal of wealth (this by the way is what attracted us to this model).

3. Give it enough time
Have you ever gone out to do something that is only going to “take a minute” Like when your husband says he is going to quickly fix something on the car. So in life these “simple projects” are larger than expected and our initial estimates were not accurate. Growing this business is a little bit like this. The task is bigger than imagined. The third principle is what reminds us to be patient. Settle in, take a long view and stay on-task. We have to give it enough time. We need to have realism in a business that lacks it. Realism does not discourage people so please know I am not trying to do that. Realism will set you free. Settle in for the now and for the long haul. Without realism, we get started with false expectations. When the business grows more slowly than anticipated, we conclude that either this business doesn’t work or that it won’t work for us. The first conclusion is a general one about the industry of network marketing as a whole. The other is a specific conclusion about us. That we aren’t capable of succeeding in this endeavor. In either case, these erroneous conclusions cause us to remove ourselves from growing the business. Sometimes this turns in to a formal exit. But most of the time it is death by neglect. These people who let this happen do nothing to feed or grow their business. They hang around until they have to pay an expense, place the next order and then pull the plug. BE PATIENT.

It takes TIME to grow this business with depth and duplication. It takes time to start as a new rep and then to achieve the leadership positions/advancements that are available.

So what does time mean in this case? It may be learning how network marketing works, learning how to trust one self as a leader or servant to others or to comprehend how big the industry is. If we face this reality we can move on and be successful. The principle of “give it enough time” is generally suggested as a time period. In this business what it means is the time when we are generated significant revenue. Time on task over time – give it enough time on a daily and weekly basis. If we don’t how can the business grow? Signing up means nothing, working it means everything. It is like a pilot. Who cares how many classes they have taken or how long they have been flying. It is about hours logged. That is the only thing that matters. “He or she who shows the most business presentations wins.”

In conclusion, what is the checklist for reality?
These three principles (consistent effort, duplication and give it enough time) Ask yourself are you doing this and can you? YES I believe you can.

Are you seeing duplication in your business? Are you clear on what it is? Do you know how to sustain and create it? And finally, do you have realistic financial expectations? How many hours have you logged of flight time? What is keeping you from more? Is it time, skill, fear, stalling, or something else? If you think this opportunity is real, what is keeping you from taking advantage of it to be the best of your ability?

In early Chinese medicines, physicians used young alfalfa leaves to treat disorders related to the digestive tract and the kidneys. In Hindu societies, ayurvedic physicians used the leaves for treating poor digestion. They made a cooling poultice from the seeds for boils. At the time, alfalfa was also believed to be helpful towards people suffering from arthritis and water retention.

It is used in homeopathic preparations worldwide. Today, alfalfa is suggested by homeopaths for treating anemia, diabetes, to extend appetite and contribute towards weight gain, as a diuretic for increased urination, for indigestion and bladder disorders, and can also be used as an estrogen replacement in order to increase breast milk and to mitigate premenstrual syndrome, a dietary supplement, to lower blood cholestrol levels, and to lower the chances of severe heart conditions. However, claims of homeopathy’s efficacy beyond the placebo effect are unsupported by the collective weight of scientific and clinical evidence.

Milk Whey Protein – Whey protein is a mixture of globular proteins isolated from whey, the liquid material created as a by-product of cheese production. Some preclinical studies in rodents have suggested that whey protein may influence glutathione production and possess anti-inflammatory or anti-cancer properties; however, human data are lacking.  The effects of whey protein on human health are of great interest and this protein mixture is being investigated as a way of reducing disease risk, or as a supplementary treatment for several diseases.  Whey protein is commonly marketed and ingested as a dietary supplement, and various health claims have been attributed to it in the alternative medicine community.

Bromelain (from Pineapple) – Bromelain can refer to one of two protease enzymes extracted from the plant family Bromeliaceae, or it can refer to a combination of those enzymes along with other compounds produced in an extract.

Bromelain extract is a mixture of sulfur-containing protein-digesting enzymes—called proteolytic enzymes or proteases—and several other substances in smaller quantities.

Bromelain has a number of medical uses. It was first introduced in this area in 1957, and works by blocking some proinflammatory metabolites that accelerate and worsen the inflammatory process. In vitro research has shown that bromelain decreases migration of neutrophils to sites of acute inflammation, and in vivo bromelain has generated a 50-85% reduction in neutrophil migration. It is an anti-inflammatory agent, and so can be used for sports injury, trauma, arthritis, and other kinds of swelling. Its main uses are treatment of athletic injuries, digestive problems, phlebitis, sinusitis, and aiding healing after surgery. Doses of 200 mg have proven to be an efficacious alternative to NSAIDS.

It has also been proposed for the treatment of arthritis, chronic venous insufficiency, easy bruising, gout, hemorrhoids, menstrual pain, autoimmune disorders, and ulcerative colitis.

Studies have shown that bromelain can also be useful in the reduction of platelet clumping and blood clots in the bloodstream, especially in the arteries.

Bromelain supplementation may increase heart rate; care should be used by those with heart disease.

Papain (from Papaya) – Papain is a cysteine protease (EC 3.4.22.2) enzyme present in papaya (Carica papaya) and mountain papaya (Vasconcellea cundinamarcensis).

It consists of 212 amino acids stabilised by 3 disulfide bridges. Its 3D structure consists of 2 distinct structural domains with a cleft between them. This cleft contains the active site, which contains a catalytic triad that has been likened to that of chymotrypsin. Its catalytic triad is made up of 3 amino acids – cysteine-25 (from which it gets its classification), histidine-159, and asparagine-158.

Protease – A protease (or proteinase) breaks down proteins. A protease is any enzyme that conducts proteolysis, that is, begins protein catabolism by hydrolysis of the peptide bonds that link amino acids together in the polypeptide chain forming the protein.

Amylase – An amylase is an enzyme that breaks starch down into sugar. Amylase is present in human saliva, where it begins the chemical process of digestion. Foods that contain much starch but little sugar, such as rice and potato, taste slightly sweet as they are chewed because amylase turns some of their starch into sugar in the mouth. The pancreas also makes amylase (alpha amylase) to hydrolyse dietary starch into di- and trisaccharides which are converted by other enzymes to glucose to supply the body with energy. Plants and some bacteria also produce amylase. As diastase, amylase was the first enzyme to be discovered and isolated (by Anselme Payen in 1833).  Specific amylase proteins are designated by different Greek letters. All amylases are glycoside hydrolases and act on α-1,4-glycosidic bonds. It will start to denature at around 60C.

Lipase – A lipase is a soluble enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ester bonds in water–insoluble, lipid substrates.  Lipases thus comprise a subclass of the esterases.

Lipases perform essential roles in the digestion, transport and processing of dietary lipids (e.g. triglycerides, fats, oils) in most, if not all, living organisms. Genes encoding lipases are even present in certain viruses.

Lactase – Lactase (LCT), a part of the β-galactosidase family of enzymes, is a glycoside hydrolase involved in the hydrolysis of the disaccharide lactose into constituent galactose and glucose monomers. In humans, lactase is present predominantly along the brush border membrane of the differentiated enterocytes lining the villi of the small intestine.

Lactase is essential for digestive hydrolysis of lactose in milk. Deficiency of the enzyme causes lactose intolerance.

Cellulase – Cellulase refers to a class of enzymes produced chiefly by fungi, bacteria, and protozoans that catalyze the cellulolysis (or hydrolysis) of cellulose. However, there are also cellulases produced by other types of organisms such as plants and animals. Several different kinds of cellulases are known, which differ structurally and mechanistically. The EC number for this group of enzymes is EC 3.2.1.4.
